This spectacular enclave, also known as Sarreceno cave, is close to the beach of La Marinella, and to reach it you have to do it either swimming, or on a boat. If you swim to it, make sure to do it slowly to avoid losing breath halfway. Once you are there, you will feel it has been worthwhile, for sure.
Seeing the picture of this beautiful place, located about 100 kilometers from Reggio Calabria, perhaps think that it will be another day enjoying a wonderful beach. And no doubt the town of Tropea, in the province of Vibo Valentia, which you will reach after an hour and a half ride by rental bus with chauffeur, is surrounded by a seascape really worth seeing. However, in this case the visit to the city itself is very interesting, since a stroll through its charming streets and a visit to the monastery of Santa Maria, on top of a steep rock are really worthwhile, apart from taking a swim in its transparent waters.
