Eivissa in Sant Antoni, one kilometer (0.6 miles) from Ibiza.

Other things to see in Ibiza

Some things that no visitor should miss during his travel are a visit to Dalt Vila, the walled city in the historic district of the city of Ibiza which has been declared a World Heritage Site, where you can find the Saint Mary’s Cathedral (Catedral de Santa María) atop a hill. Or take a trip to the famous Dahlia Market (Mercado de las Dalias), within which the ultimate hippy stronghold can be found and where you can see and buy crafts, amulets, magic stones, and all the clothes that you’ll need to wear in Ibiza. It’s a real festival of fabrics and colors that no visitor should fail to see.

To enjoy some exquisite meals before you travel back home, we recommend visiting Restaurant La Oliva in the historic district of Dalt-Vila which offers a Mediterranean cuisine, Restaurant CA Nalfredo, located in Ibiza, with a Mediterranean cuisine and a small terrace, or Restaurant Jardín La Brasa de Ibiza in the city of Ibiza, which offers traditional and Mediterranean food, where you can also choose to sit in the patio to eat.

Night Life Travel in Ibiza

You can rent a bus in Ibiza for trip in the city or in Ibiza Province. The renaissance-era Dalt Villa city walls, which have been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, are the most important symbol of the city. They were renovated in the 16th century, and they project a powerful image; they also offer beautiful vistas of the city.

The Cathedral

Dates to 1235; once the Reconquest was accomplished, it was decided that a church dedicated to The Virgin Mary needed to be built. There is a set of important bells from the 16th and 17th centuries that are considered the most important bells of the various bell towers.

Beaches in Ibiza

Just a short distance from the city anyone who loves the sea, sun, and sand can enjoy some beautiful beaches. Playa d’en Bossa, one of the most famous places in Ibiza, also has an urban complex that could be described as a vacation city. This beach has tranquil waters where you can engage in any type of water sport, enjoy the scenery at Las Salinas Nature Reserve, or take long walks along the beach. Playa de Figueretas is located right downtown; this family-friendly tourist beach is surrounded by gardens and playgrounds. Or there’s Playa de Talamanca, which has a wooden walkway along various sections of it.

Take a walk through the middle of the city’s historic district, visit the armory and the six towers of the city wall. Visit the Chapels of San Ciríaco and the Church of Santo Domingo, which are destinations for pilgrimages. Visit the buildings of the Archeological Museum and Medina Yabisa which were built over the ancient Arab city walls; they’re a great example of how the city of Ibiza has changed over the ages.

The Ibiza Museum of Contemporary Art, with its weaponry hall, The Ibiza City Walls, which originated in the seventh century, The Sant Pere Stronghold, which is one of the seven five-sided  buildings that make up the city wall of Ciudad Alta (the Upper City, also known as Dalt Vila), and Madina Yabisa, an information center that, with help from audiovisuals, recounts the history of Ibiza, are considered the top places to see in Ibiza.

You can take a microbus with driver downtown to Park Square (Plaza del Parque), which is the busiest meeting place in the city. Enjoy the tranquil terraces that help to alleviate the summer heat or provide shelter from the winter cold. Continue on to El Paseo de Vara de Rey, which is a tribute to the people of Ibiza and which hosts many performances and festivals.

Bicycle Tours and Rentals

Nothing beats getting some exercise and taking advantage of the opportunity to ride around and visit different places on this little island. There are various companies that rent bikes, such as Bicicletas Kandani,  IbizaMTB, or Ibiza Sport, all of which cater to tourists and also offer lists of possible tours through the city.

Space Ibiza

In Platja d’En Bossa. This is considered to be the best nightclub in the world. It’s open from May through October, and they hold “opening” and “closing” parties. Some of the club’s fans take a plane just to participate in these special parties. They have live DJs and incredible light and laser effects. In addition to two dance floors, they have a little terrace where the live DJs do their thing.

Parasailing

If you want to watch the sunset while flying over the ocean, then this is your chance! The parasailing setup is located on Saint Anthony Beach (Playa de San Antonio) and includes all the necessary safety measure so that you can enjoy an unforgettable, worry-free experience.

Plaza Sa Riba

Located on Plaza de Sa Riba Street, this plaza is full of shops and restaurants. Furthermore, streets like Carrer de la Mare de Deu and Carrer de Barcelona intersect with the plaza. These streets are interesting to visit due to the number of hippy-style shops that they have. This plaza is definitely worth a visit.

Bar Can Costa

Situated on Plaza de la Iglesia Street, this bar is famous for its ham and cheese sandwiches. The bar has a 70s-style hippy décor and a large terrace for enjoying the summer weather as well as some rooms with chimneys for the wintertime. The prices are very reasonable here.

Funky Fish

A clothing store with a very original design; the entrance looks like a wave that’s about to break. This store is on D’Annibal Street in downtown Ibiza and is a fun place to look for bargains amongst the great variety of items that they offer.
