The 31-kilometer tour starts from the Visitor Centre and goes past the places Warmond, Buitenkraag, Rijpwetering and Oud Ade. The rate is € 2.00 and € 1.00 will goes to the charity.

Walking tour of the city

Besides cycling you can discover the city by foot. The city offers hiking tours with a guide. For more information you may want to inquire some more information at the Tourist Office on the Stationsweg. Activities in Leiden

For the children it is fun to make a day trip. At the Kenauweg you will find bowling restaurant Menken. You can go disco-bowling here with the kids. The bowling alley is open every day.
In addition to bowling, you can also go to a children"s farm in Leiderdorp. The children"s farm has several animals, such as goats, sheep, poultry, rabbits, Guinea pigs, pigs and cows. The children"s farm is open daily and free to the public.
Should you prefer to go for something more active then you can go to amusement park Duinrell. Duinrell is located in Wassenaar. This is about 20 kilometres from Leiden. In this theme park you can make a thrilling ride in roller coaster Falcon, but for the little kids, you can also enjoy in the big playground. Children up to 3 years old can visit the park for free. Adults are charged 20 euros.

Swimming pools

There are 3 different swimming pools in Leiden. Nice for a rest day! One of the swimming pools is Openluchtzwembad De Vliet. This pool is a 50 meter pool with 2 springboards. In addition there is also a 36-metre water slide. This swimming pool is also equipped with heating.
Another swimming pool in Leiden is in Het Sportcomplex Het Zijl. This Sportcomplex has a competition pool and a recreational pool with an outdoor pool. This swimming pool is opened every day.
The last swimming pool is De Vijf Meibad. This is a 25-metre swimming pool with a moveable bottom. In addition to recreational swimming are also organized activities: from aqua-sports to a quiet swim.
