De Eersteling is a large stone flour mill built in 1856. The name originated because the mill was the first mill in the municipality of Haarlemmermeer. The mill is located on the Hoofdweg in the centre of Hoofddorp, and is open to the public since her renovation in 2011. It is open on Thursday from 13:00 to 17:00 and on Friday and Saturday from 10:00 to 17:00. It is also possible to make an appointment with the miller for any guided tours.
