Mariken van Nimwegen. was the main character in a 16th century theatre. In the story Mariken did a lot of wrong thing. Finally she asks forgiveness. She got three iron rings around her neck and arms. After years of penance, the rings fall off of her, her sins are forgiven her. She dies in peace. The round shape of this bread shows the iron rings that Mariken had hung around.
Flores Bistro is located close the Valkhof park. Everything is fresh and natural. They have limited quantities of everything. On a blackboard, you can see which dishes are still available and which are (almost) sold out. It is not possible to make a reservation, only if you are coming with a group.
Pasta e fagioli is located at the Van Welderenstraat near the Emperor Charles Square. This restaurant has an Italian kitchen. Price level for this restaurant is low. Interior is nice. The tables are covered with tablecloths, napkins and lovely wine glasses.
In the Blauwe Hand is located at the rear Hoofdwacht. This street is centrally located in the city center. In de Blauwe Hand is the oldest pub in Nijmegen. Inside it is small and cozy. There is a large selection of beers. You could also have dinner, lunch of some snacks. They use a lot of products from the region. That makes the food fresh and healthy.

De drie gezusters: This bar consists of three separate bars, De Grote Griet, Heidi’s Skihut and De Drie Gezusters. For De drie gezusters entrance of €3,- is required. The entrance provides access to the three cafes. De drie gezusters is open on Saturday from 18:00 until 04:00 o"clock.
Cafe van Buuren: This cafe is available for lunch in the afternoon and is open on Saturday until from 12:00 until 04:00 o"clock.
