“I first visited Spain in 1988 where I learnt to speak Spanish and spent time living in Barcelona, Madrid, Mallorca, Malaga and Seville. I fell in love with these cities and worked in various service orientated companies such as COOB 92 (Barcelona Olympic Games) and RIU hotels. As a service orientated entrepreneur I always felt a connection with small companies in travel and tourism. But I saw how they were being pushed out of the market by mundane corporate chains. Starting a private transport and coach hire tool felt like a logical thing to do and started as just a hobby. Six years later and it's grown much bigger than I ever first imagined.”

About Monica Schatz, Head of Customer Services and Country Manager for Spain

Monica Schatz had a career in sales, customer service and technical support at Arcor/Vodafone and as bilingual and trilingual secretary, before joining Rentautobus in 2010. She is head of our customer services, supporting both clients and transport companies in our portal. She lives in and works from Buenos Aires in Argentina and loves dogs, children and old people.

She gets her daily portion of good vibes and energy by talking with transport companies who all treat her as friends. She enjoys helping clients with planning trips and advising them on how to choose from the transport options. If you have a question about chauffeured ground transport then Monica has the answer. She speaks Spanish, German, and English.
